I've always been a writer. You know, one of those avid journalers, long IG captions, short stories on my laptop kind of people. This eventually led to my graduation from oversharer to novelist.

I hold degrees in government and international relations, with a focus on the Middle East. I spent the first 15 years of my professional life working in the nonprofit world, specifically with refugees, families in poverty, and education-driven projects throughout the Middle East.

If I'm not writing or doing nonprofit work, I'm probably up to something crazy - like trying a new recipe or getting lost in a book world.

I'm the co-host of The Fiction Lounge, a podcast for new writers and established authors alike. And I live in San Antonio, Texas, with my husband and our two cats.
